Trombones raise money for charity.
THIS YEAR'S FUNDRAISER.....
New to this year, the Lätzsch Trombone Festival will adopt, a specific cancer foundation. This years donation will be made to Carol Jarvis with her project ‘TROMBONES RAISE MONEY FOR CHARITY’.
Both festival artist, Carol Jarvis, and festival Manager, Ben Cruiming, have battled through Hodgkins and Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma whilst maintaining their positions as two of the top professional trombone players in the world.
pBone produced a pink pBone to add to their range of brightly coloured plastic trombones in 2013. They donate £10 from the sale of each pink pBone to The Christie, one of Europe’s leading cancer centres. The Christie is where Carol spent over 8 years receiving ground-breaking new treatments, including two transplants, during her 8 year battle with Hodgkins Lymphoma.
Ever since Carol’s diagnosis of Hodgkins Lymphoma in 2004, she has been actively involved with many different cancer charities. “I will forever want to say thank you to not only my nurses, doctors and hospital, but to all those involved in the research into cancer throughout the world. If I can help raise funds through lots of different avenues, then I may be able to help future patients and help a tiny bit towards the cure for cancer once and for all.” - Carol Jarvis
